2024 is the tenth anniversary of the dynamic Ping An New Battle for Ping An in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s proposal of “Four Reactions, One Cooperation Together”, and it is also the key year for realizing the goals and tasks of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. The total domestic production value for the whole year was 1.349 million yuan, an increase of 5.0% year-on-year. When the electricity used in the whole society was 99,000 kilowatts, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year. The investment in power projects of important power enterprises across the country was 116.87 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% year-on-year; the investment in power projects was 608.3 billion yuan, an increase of 15.3% year-on-year.
In 2024, the country’s new power generation power equipment has historically exceeded coal and electricity, and the power equipment supply guarantee can continue to grow and develop in a coordinated manner. In the first half of the year, the national power equipment production volume was 91.72 million kilowatts, an increase of 24.6% year-on-year; the national power equipment production volume was 217.796 million kilowatts, an increase of 23.0% year-on-year. Faced with the double pressure of demand growth and green low-carbon transformation, adding new force reduction, capital fluctuations and technical upgrades, the power generation scale has achieved breakthrough growth, production has reached a new historical high, diversified green low-carbon products are produced jointly, economic operations are improving, technological innovation can continue to strengthen, and digital and intelligent transformation have been profoundly promoted, providing major support for accelerating the construction of new power systems.
1. Industry development situation
(I) Characteristics of industry development
1. Industry scale and structure: The production of power generation equipment has reached a new historical high, the production of thermal, wind and pumped storage equipment has increased significantly, the production of nuclear power equipment remains stable, diversified green industries have developed in a coordinated manner, and the product structure is optimized and stable.
According to the mechanical industrial power equipment central statistics, the national power equipment production in 2024 will be 217.796 million kilowatts (by power generation23.0% year-on-year. Among them: 12.075 million kilowatts of hydroelectric motors, accounting for 5.5%, a year-on-year decrease of 10.5%; 99.44 million kilowatts of pyroelectric motors, accounting for 45.7%, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%; 99.481 million kilowatts of wind turbines, accounting for 45.7%, a year-on-year increase of 24.8%; 99.481 million kilowatts of wind turbines, accounting for 45.7%, a year-on-year increase of 24.8%;

In 2024, the hydropower industry has been subject to the tightening of development resources, project review and approval process, and project construction cycles, and the proportion of hydropower equipment production in the total production of power equipment (hereinafter referred to as “proportion”) fell by 2.1 percentage points compared with the previous year; the pyroelectric industry has strictly controlled the energy consumption reduction standard, and the goal has been shifted to the maximum level that meets the basic burden and is the system level. The stable operation provides flexible support, and the proportion of pyroelectric equipment production increased by 2.4 percentage points; the risk industry continued to develop rapidly under policy leadership and market driving, product iteration accelerated, and the output of pyroelectric equipment reached a record high again, with a proportion rising by 0.7 percentage points; the nuclear power industry adhered to the overall basis of the overall development of extremely safe and orderly development, and the project approval and construction entered the stable stage, and the proportion of nuclear power equipment production fell by 1 percentage point.

In 2024, the national hydroelectric unit production was 12.075 million kilowatts, a year-on-year drop of 10.5%. Among them, the single-machine capacity of 100,000 kilowatts and above was 10.043 million kilowatts, accounting for 83.2% of hydroelectric units; the single-machine capacity of 100,000 kilowatts of production was 2.032 million kilowatts, accounting for 16.8% of hydroelectric units. Among them, 3 500,000 kilowatt-grade waterwheel machines were completed (Sichuan Shijiangkou 2#3#4#); 3 sets of 400,000 kilowatt-grade pumping storage machines (Zhejiang Lu Taiwan 1#2#3#); 14 sets of 300,000 kilowatt pumped storage machines (Hebei Yi County 3#4#, Zhejiang Yiyun 5#6#, Guangzhou Meizhou Phase 2, Guangdong Meizhou 1#2#3#, Guangdong Northeast Ning 1#2#3#, Henan Luoning 1#2#3#, Hunan Pingjiang 1#, Shandong Bifang 1#); 5 sets of 200,000 kilowatt pumped storage machines (Jiangsu Jurong 5#6#, Henan Wuyue 1#2#3#). The output of the pumped storage machine group accounts for 56.9% of the total hydroelectric machine group, an increase of 27.1 percentage points compared with the previous year.

In 2024, the national pyroelectric generator production volume was 99.44 million kilowatts, an increase of 29.7% year-on-year. Among them, the single-machine capacity was 300,000 kilowatts and above 76.495 million kilowatts, accounting for 76.9% of the production of the pyroelectric generator; the single-machine capacity was 22.945 million kilowatts, accounting for pyroelectric generator production volume of the pyroelectric generator23.1%.
In 2024, the national gas turbine production volume was 75.796 million kilowatts, an increase of 18.7% year-on-year (including 8.27 million kilowatts of fuel turbines, an increase of 21.0% year-on-year). The Chinese Super League and Super League engines have 51.655 million kilowatts, accounting for 68.2% of the gas turbines; the power station furnace production volume was 87.485 million kilowatts, an increase of 31.8% year-on-year. The Chinese Super League and Super League engines have 66.14 million kilowatts, accounting for 75.6% of the power station furnaces.
